We had Theatre Workshop as usual this afternoon, and Mr. Bala gave us a sneak preview of an intriguing play based on a war veteran and his relationship with his family. With this, we applied our previous knowledge of characterization, and worked with forming objectives for each line of our given excerpts. It was tiring work, and often the objectives we thought of were not what the play write would have intended at all. Most of the time, I ended up describing the action rather than the motive, so I need to practise a lot more with that. Infact, the exercise greatly involved having a good grasp of vocabulary to think of the precise action in the situation.
Next class we're going to be practising our scenes with the aid of our objectives. I will need to work a lot more on finding the right objectives, as well as acting with honesty.
